A wedding abroad is not a bigger celebration – it is a longer one. Three days in which guests turn into a small travel party and a riad becomes a home for a while.

We arrived early, long before the first petals fell: during the preparations in the cool courtyard, at the table growing through the palm garden, in the last sunlight on the zellij tiles. In the evening, string lights above the water and music well past midnight. We happily travel for weddings outside of Germany – and plan to be on location a day ahead.
