Born and raised in Cologne, photography and film have been part of my life since childhood. What started as pure fascination turned into a real passion over the years – with a clear focus on film and storytelling.
During my studies I shot and edited my first professional projects for the Cologne student services. I have been working as a filmmaker for around ten years now and have specialised in weddings as well as high-end B2B productions.
In my films I pay particular attention to three things: image, colour and sound. For me it is exactly those details that turn beautiful footage into a film you still love watching years later. That is why I work with modern camera and lens technology and keep investing in my equipment and my workflow.
But just as important as the technology are the people in front of the camera. I am open, easy-going, and I want you to feel comfortable on your wedding day rather than “filmed”. After all, many of the most beautiful moments happen the second you forget the camera is there.
And when I am not filming a wedding? Then I am a family person, happily married, father of four children – and a devoted fan of 1. FC Köln.

Donya Studio is a wedding film and photography studio based in Germany, working with couples across Europe and beyond. From your first enquiry to the finished gallery, the same small team looks after you personally – with an eye for the quiet, honest moments that make a wedding day what it is. We believe the most beautiful images happen when you forget we are there: we move discreetly in the background and capture what actually unfolds – the laughter, the tears, the first dance.
As a luxury wedding videographer and photographer we regularly travel for destination weddings – to Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Greece, as well as throughout Germany. Whether it is an intimate ceremony on the coast, a grand celebration in a historic castle or a multi-day cultural wedding, we adapt our approach to your story instead of pressing every wedding into the same template. Having film and photography from one team means a calmer day for you – with no coordination stress between separate suppliers.
Our wedding films tell your story cinematically – with professional sound, unhurried imagery and an edit that gives emotion room to breathe. Your photographs arrive in a private online gallery you can share and print from at any time. On request we also create social media content for Instagram and TikTok, so you can share the most beautiful moments with your family and friends just days after the celebration.
How much does a wedding videographer or photographer cost? Wedding photography starts at €1,700 and cinematic wedding films at €1,900. Booking photo and film together saves you 5 % on the total. Every quote is put together individually based on hours of coverage and the services you would like.
Do you travel for destination weddings? Yes. We regularly film and photograph weddings across Europe – including Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Greece – and travel worldwide on request. Travel and accommodation are quoted transparently with your package.
How far in advance should we book? Popular wedding dates are often reserved 12–18 months ahead, especially in peak season. Do get in touch early and we will hold your date for you.
When do we receive our photos and wedding film? A first preview usually follows within a few days. Photographs are delivered within six weeks and your finished wedding film within nine weeks of the wedding. An express delivery within 14 days is available as an add-on.
